The Invisibility Cloak

Comment : This has to be seen to be believed, it was jokingly talked about in Jon Ronsons book "the men who stare at goats" where in 1979 a secret unit was established by the most gifted minds within the US Army. Defying all known accepted military practice - and indeed, the laws of physics - they believed that a soldier could adopt the cloak of invisibility, pass cleanly through walls and, perhaps most chillingly, kill goats just by staring at them :

Professor Susumu Tachi of Tokyo University has made a coat that you can see through just like Harry Potter's invisibility cloak.

The cloak is covered with tiny light-reflective beads. It appears to be transparent as it's fitted with cameras which project what is in front of the wearer onto the back of the cloak, and vice versa.

The Discovery Channel ran a story a few years ago, demonstrating invisible soldiers advancing towards the Waco building in Texas, with similiar technology.
